WINTER SOLSTICE CARRY-IN FEAST follows the illumination of the Serpent Mound. The feast takes place at the Heritage Lodge of Woodland Alters which is a short distance from the Serpent Mound. The festivities begins at 8:45pm and runs into the night but set up begins anytime after 4pm.) Please bring food or a dish to share, your dinnerware and utensils. The lodge is intended to be a warm airy space to gather for everyone and anyone. The lodge provides two levels, full decks, refrigerators, freezers, sinks, electrical outlets, tables, etc.. Perhaps most importantly is the large open stone fireplace because fire is essential for winter solstice celebrations, as well as, the winter season ahead. You are welcome to bring your children or parents as we drum, dance, visit, connect and create! You may bring prayer ties to burn in the ceremonial fire, rattles, flutes and/or drums of all kinds for celebrations at Serpent Mound. When the Serpent calls, it is an eclectic mix that answers... forming a warm community of awareness which continues to grow. Woodland Alters (Heritage Lodge) Carry-in does not require money, although there will be a donation box for ANY type of gift that will assist in the Flow of Abundance that brings us this celebration.Questions concerning the carry-in feast please email Adam adambatson1@yahoo.com
