12. Hathor

Hathor is a neterit who is often depicted in two forms.   She is seen as a cow or as a woman with the attributes of a cow.  A small open-air chapel dedicated to the deity Hathor was built on the second tier, south end of Hatshepsut’s temple. The cliffs above the Hathor Chapel reveal a simulacrum image of Hathor with features commonly identified with her—a triangle shaped head, narrowing chin, cow ears and shoulder length hair.   Hathor is known as "The Lady of the Holy Land", who brought joy to the souls who pass through the Hall of Ma'at, which additionaly supports theory for Deir el Bahari being the Hall of Ma’at.  She is often depicted in art walking out of the funeral mountain, which indeed is the case with the West Bank Mountain.  Hathor is often portrayed holding the sistrum, a musical rattle, to ward off all evil and invoke protective forces in the underworld.
